product whore.

i admit. i have been and continue to be somewhat of a product whore. i am always looking for the "miracle product" that will effectively render me into the better looking twin of someone like catherine zeta jones, angelina jolie, norah jones, or evangeline lily. so far, no luck. dammit.

i picked up a few items this past week and i plan to post a review of them here.

first i got the neutrogena healthy skin rejuvenator .

it is a vibrating facial cleaner. you put some little pre soaped up and presumably medicated puffs on the vibrating part and clean your face with it. it is supposed to smooth wrinkles, decrease age spots and discolorations, and firm up your skin. i used it for the first time last night before bed and i will say, i was extremely impressed with how smooth and soft my skin felt. it still feels smoother and softer today. the instructions suggest using the cleanser only 3 times per week, but i've never been known to follow directions--at least not exactly. i just wish i'd thought to download the $5 coupon from the website. it ain't cheap. i got mine at target for $33 and change before taxes, but it did come with a free box of replacement cleaning puffs. i'll remember to use the online coupon for $3 off the next box of replacement cleaning puffs.

next i got a little trial size tube of Soap & Glory Cosmetics' Great Shakes hand cream.

this stuff smells so good. let me tell you. this stuff smells so good that i woke up last night sniffing my own hands. weird. in a good way. i think. i'm normally a" hand lotion hater mainly because i can't stand that "lotion-y" feeling of gunk being on my hands. great shakes doesn't have that lotion-y feeling. not greasy or goopy residue left on my hands either. i hope it's just as good ten days from now.

another Soap & Glory Cosmetics product that i picked up was partially because of the product name and partially because i'm always trying to find nice lip gloss that is worth spending money on. Sexy Motherpucker. wouldn't you want to buy a product with that name too?

this works. not like a collagen injection i'm sure, but it does work. it tingles a few minutes after you put it on, but it isn't unpleasant. it has a slightly chocolatey smell which is the only thing i DON'T like because i'm not a fan of chocolate, unless it's white chocolate, which isn't really chocolate at all or so i'm told. still i'll probably keep using it. i can pretend it smells like hot chocolate with marshmallow creme on top. i can handle that. maybe after extended use, i, too, can be a sexy motherpucker.

anyone have any suggestions for future product reviews?

i'm exited to hear more about the cleanser and lotion. I have some sort of weird allergy to the stuff they put in chapsticks and lipstick, so I have to stick with my tried and true Chapstick (brand) Medicated.
