cognitive overload or mental bottleneck?

contemplating the mental phenomenon that i have been experiencing lately, i found an article that pretty well sums things up for me. thank goodness they also offer some ideas for balancing out the "distraction"

IN LEVY'S VIEW, technology is not the culprit. The problem is the imbalance we've allowed it to perpetuate.

This is the key line, IMO. I think the only thing people need to learn in order to deal with this, is how to say "no".

There's nothing like a simple walk on the beach at sunset. I was able to do that a couple of times on my recent 18 day trip. No static either!
