PH61:shoes

i have been wanting to get involved in a photo meme or photo challenge of sorts to get the rust off the old picture taking hobby. i'm not thrilled with the new digital camera that i have, but it will do until i decide to upgrade. i miss the fun i used to have on photo days when i would just hit the road and stop where i felt the picture taking urge and just snap away. maybe this little once a week meme will help me get back into the swing of that.

if you want to see more photo hunt posts for this week, check it out here or if you'd like to participate in photo hunters, go here. best yet, check out the photo hunter blogroll on the right in a cool drop down menu (click on the + next to the blog title).

this week's theme is "shoes"

a little grainy as i cropped the feet from a much larger photograph. these are my feet as they appeared as i walked across the huge stage and received my degree at the university of wisconsin--madison just a few short weeks ago.
it seems it was only a short time ago that i would go ga-ga over the next new pair of trail running shoes or hip black boots or funky heels. with gray hair has come the desire to cradle my feet in nothing but comfort--regardless the look of the shoe. i discovered keens (as well as a few other wonderfully comfortable brands) and swallowed my once abundant shoe-pride to step over to the dark side otherwise known as the land of comfortable old lady shoes.....i just love my keens and yes i was wearing white socks in this photo.... get over it.

last, but not least, new charms for my cell phone from charmed to meet you, a cool crafty charm shoppe run by my friend marcia. these join a turtle charm (for long life, health, and prosperity), and a pink flip flop charm. i really do love flip flops.

Welcome to the Photo Hunt! Also welcome to the dark side of comfortable old lady shoes! It's really not bad once you get used to it and at least you can walk without too much pain! Most of the time!

Keens? I must investigate!! Those are adorable and look très comfortable!

Shoot girl, your camera takes better pictures of my stuff than mine does! I've yet to put any earrings up on the site because I can't seem to photograph them well!
