hearts and flowers.

happy valentine's day ! no. it isn't valentimes. today i remember my grandmother, my nanny. seven years ago on a sunday valentine's day, nanny passed away. i like to think that she went home and i'll see her again someday. i miss her something terrible and wish i could have her back for just a little while. today i'll remember the way she loved me unconditionally. she overlooked a lot just to love me and that says quite a lot. she is one that i truly never could imagine life without, and in a way, she is still with me and always will be.
i miss you nanny and i'll always love you.

Loss hits us hard around the holidays and I believe the ones we love are never far. They are too much apart of us to be.

What a beautiful post. My grandmoter (who I also called Nanny) passed away seven years this June. So, yes, I know exactly how you feel. Exactly.

Thanks for visitng my site. Here I am returning the favour. It is so hard to loose a loved one and your nanny looked not unlike my own, who we called Nana... If only they were still around us now hey? Well, who knows? Maybe they are!

Oh, that's so sweet. I lost one of my Grandmas a few years back and I miss her terribly, too. But it's nice to have such good memories.
